Meet Sanders!
Sanders originally was trapped as part of a Trap, Neuter, Release effort, and it was quickly discovered that he was actually a really nice boy. Sanders is about 5 years old, and he has had some health troubles and so he had to spend some time getting better. He's feeling much better now and is finally ready to find his forever home!
Sanders is positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). However, cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives and are not much different than other cats. While cats with FIV are considered immunocompromised, the care they need is often not much different than that of other cats. Cats with FIV can live with cats who are FIV negative, as FIV is transmitted through deep puncture wounds and mating (which wont be a problem for Sanders!) Please ask us for more information on FIV positive cats!
Sanders also has a chronic condition known as Feline Stomatitis, which is inflammation of the soft tissues of the mouth like the gums. The good news is that Stomatitis is very manageable, through routine dental care, and pain management. Sanders did have to have a few dental procedures, but he is now at a manageable point with his Stomatitis. Please ask us for more information on Feline Stomatitis!
He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and tested negative for FeLV, and heartworm.
