Meet Sanders – The Dapper Gentleman with a Big Heart

Sanders may have started his journey as part of a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) program, but it didn’t take long for everyone to realize he was far too sweet for outdoor life. He’s overcome a few health challenges with grace and resilience, and now this handsome tuxedo boy is ready for his forever home!

Sanders is a confident cat who knows exactly what he wants. He enjoys affection and will happily soak up head rubs and love—on his terms. When he’s done, he’s done, and he’d love a human who understands when it’s time to lounge solo and just be a loaf on the couch. He’s also incredibly food-motivated and won’t hesitate to beg (adorably) for snacks and treats.

Sanders is FIV-positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don’t let that scare you! FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives with regular vet care, and the virus is only transmitted through deep bite wounds or mating—neither of which are a concern for this mellow guy. He can safely live with FIV-negative cats in a peaceful home.

Sanders also has Feline Stomatitis, a manageable condition that causes inflammation in the mouth. He’s already had a few dental procedures and is currently stable and comfortable with ongoing care.

This resilient boy is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, FeLV and heartworm negative, and has an estimated birthday of June 1, 2019. He gets along well with other cats, but hasn’t met any dogs yet.
