My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chattanooga is a joyful bundle of energy! He is always ready for playtime whether it's with crinkle balls, throw mice, or anything else he can scoot along the floor. He would love a family that is ready to keep up with his excited personality. It'd be great for him to go to a home with another active cat so they can keep each other company while the humans are away. When he's not chasing his toys around he's a real lover boy. If he sees his humans hanging out on the couch or in a bed he needs to join the cuddle party. He likes to lie on your legs and make himself right at home. He's also known to curl up on a pillow next to his human's head and purr himself to sleep. Chattanooga's special skill his catching his play mice and carrying them around to show off his prize! He's got such a fun personality he'll always keep you laughing with his antics. But without a doubt he will give his forever family so much love, joy, and cuddles.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
