My name is Gene!

Who can resist that derpy little face!

Gene is initially a shy boy who takes time to warm up to new people. Over the past year, we've worked hard to build a relationship with him and our other dogs, including collaborating with R+ trainers. Though we have seen improvements, unfortunately, things haven't progressed as we had hoped. Gene is a wonderful, affectionate, silly boy …it breaks our hearts that we haven’t been able to make it work with him and the others…just like people sometimes personalities just clash.

We believe Gene deserves a chance at success and ultimately that could mean a different home. While he prefers to be an only pet, he has enjoyed short play sessions with gently playful/tolerant dogs. We're seeking a dedicated family that can give Gene the confidence and love he needs to truly shine. Until then, he will remain with us.
