Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hysteric is a very nice cat, who is a little timid of brand new people. He warms up quick with the power of food and toys. His favorite hobbies include smelling people, cuddling, watching out the windows and attacking bugs. He currently lives with 2 big dogs and 3 older cats that he plays with all day. He also lives with a toddler and a 3 year old that he gets along with. Has never injured or bit anyone. Hysteric is searching for a new forever home because his previous owner is moving and they do not allow kitties in the dormitory. Check out his great kitty boy!

The Adoption Counselors will review your application and if approved will contact you to pay an adoption hold fee to reserve the animal.

Meet the Pet

All adopters need an appointment to meet the pet due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thank you for choosing adoption! We hope that you will find a pet that will become a long time member of your family! Currently we are open to visitors and adopters via appointments only. The Adoption Counselors can schedule a time to visit after reviewing your accepted application. Please visit our website to see the pets profile and apply for them electronically. All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, have rabies and distemper shots (age appropriate), and are de-wormed and microchipped. he Humane Society of Charles County (HSCC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies completely on private donations and its own fundraising abilities to operate. We do not receive any federal, state or government funding or any funds from any national animal welfare organizations to operate.

The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home.
