My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moni is a seven-month-old wire-haired terrier mix. She's spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. Moni is ready to bring the fun times and the lovings to your family! She needs some work with socialization and obedience training. She's food motivated, so training should be a lot of fun! Be warned, though, her "stranger danger" bark may catch you off guard with such alertness. Moni was surrendered to our local shelter because her owner could not afford the medical care she needs. A bile test revealed that she has microvascular dysplasia, a rare liver abnormality that can cause her to struggle with eliminating toxins from her body. An ultrasound of her liver showed it to be relatively healthy, and most dogs with this condition can live normal lives. Yearly bloodwork is necessary to monitor her condition, and if symptoms arise, medication and possibly a diet change may be needed. So far, she has shown no symptoms and is eating Royal Canin Puppy Chow. While this may sound scary, please don't let it deter you from adopting this little ball of love and energy. She loves playing with other dogs and is getting better at housetraining.

Interested in being considered to be her new family? Fill out an application (found on our website at PapillonPalsRescue.com - Available dogs) and let's get the ball rolling! Our adoption radius is approximately 250 miles from Jacksonville, Florida. Other animals in the house must be spayed or neutered, up-to-date on their vet visits, and on heartworm medication.

Additional adoption info

In order to ensure a perfect match, we screen all adoption applicants. We require anyone wanting to adopt to complete an adoption application and we check personal and vet references. Final step before files goes to the Adoption Committee for review is to conduct a home visit with all members of the potential adoptive family. Fees for adoptions vary based on whether the dog's purebred, the age and health status of the dog. Contact us via email and we will send you our Adoption Application and tell you a little more about the dog you're interested in adopting!
