Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Meet Duncan: Your Future Furry Best Friend!**
Hello there! I`m Duncan, a 5-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I`m a sweet guy who thrives on human companionship and would love nothing more than to be part of your family.
When we`re out and about, you`ll find me walking well on a leash—I`m a perfect gentleman on our strolls! My favorite things include belly rubs, playful moments, and cozy snuggles. I`m on the lookout for a forever family who will appreciate my affectionate nature and enjoy the loyalty and joy that I bring. Also I am pretty darn handsome, if I do say so myself. Social, handsome and a good boy? Ok, now come on down to the shelter and meet me already, what more could you ask for?
If you`re ready to add a loving, well-behaved companion to your life, I`m your guy! Let’s make some wonderful memories together. Come meet me soon—I can’t wait to find my furever home with you!

More about this shelter
Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.
We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.
We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.
At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
