Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lyra has been lucky enough to spend some time in a foster home and has been rocking it! Her temporary family have told us that she's a "fantastic" dog, who gets more loving every day! She does great with new people and even spent time with a toddler and was gentle and a grade A good girl! Lyra is a really sweet girl who we know will make an excellent best friend and companion.

If this animal is located at our Manhattan Adoption Center, head in to meet them and see if you are a match! We are a same-day adoption center, and an application does not put you on a list or hold an animal for you. If they are in Wantagh or in a foster home, please submit an online application and our team will reach out to further discuss the adoption process. Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given their age-appropriate vaccines.

Please bring the following to your adoption appointment:

Photo ID with current address AND a copy of their utility bill with their current address.

Proof in Writing that Pets Are Welcome in the Building. This can be in the form of a lease, a letter from the landlord, or an email from the landlord.

Adopting a dog? Adopters must bring a leash, collar and harness.

Adopting a cat? Adopters must bring a sturdy, non-cardboard pet carrier. (Bedding optional but helpful)
