Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Kasota, MN
Ruthie is thought to be a collie/shepherd/retriever cross? Whatever her breeds, she is a true soul dog who quickly and easily bonds with her people. She has filled our hearts with love and ranks # TWO! of the 48 foster dogs we have had in our home in the last two years. She is a well-adjusted, well behaved UBER INTELLIGENT puppy who learned the commands "come, "sit, "down (for lay down), "kennel, and "off within 10 minutes of training. I am not kidding when I tell you she is smart. She is the smartest dog I've ever met (and I train dogs and have worked with MANY!) She is SO MUCH FUN to work with and teach new things to.
In addition to knowing these commands, she walks well on a leash, sleeps all night in a kennel without a peep, keeping it clean, is potty trained and has never had an accident in our home, seems to know which toys are hers and appropriate to chew on, has been respectful of our things and our home, and absolutely adores our children, who are dog savvy 7, 12, and 14-year-olds. Ruthie is a puppy, of course, and has moments of puppy energy, but as puppies go, she is one of the more laid-back and gentle dogs we have hosted. She has been learning to stay down and has been doing a great job so far! All of these things are benefits of adopting a slightly older puppy, who is through their crazy puppy stage (& already potty trained!!) She is generally quiet and does not bark very much. She has an absolutely lovely demeanor, and everyone falls in love with her instantly. In addition, she has a beautiful, healthy, shiny, silky smooth coat that is so therapeutic to pet, and seems to glow in the sunlight.
Some of Ruthie's favorite things are: zoomies in the snow, chilling with a bone or hard toy to chew on, laying next to her people, (she especially likes laying near me as I bake in the kitchen), snuggling and getting petted, taking walks, and joining story time with the kids before bed. This particular puppy has so much love to give and is so very affectionate and intuitive with her people. She is so ready to find her forever and make some lucky family very very happy. Might it be you!?

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
