My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oddie, a canine resident at our shelter. This adult dog is a blend of intelligence, shyness, and independence. She`s not one to demand constant attention but she`ll surprise you with her smart antics. Oddie is a bit shy initially, but give her some time and she`ll warm up to you. She thrives in an environment where she can have her own space, making her perfect for an only pet home. She is also great with older kids, ideally aged 12 and above. Oddie is the kind of pet who will add a serene, gentle energy to your home. Her independent spirit means she`s content to do her own thing, but she`ll always be there to offer quiet companionship. Adopt Oddie and you`re not just getting a pet, you`re gaining a loyal friend who will enrich your life with her unique blend of smarts, shyness, and independence.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
