Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Dunkin, Duncan, Deputy Donut, Dunkeroo...doesn't matter what you call him, he'll be excited just to see you! Dunkin is a happy, energetic boy, who would love to spend time adventuring with you, then snuggle up on the couch in your lap. He is crate and potty trained and gets along with everyone in his foster home. Dunkin thrives with a larger, confident doggy pal and loves to run and play, so would do best in a home with at least one other dog. His foster mom is his primary caregiver and is the one who doles out the treats and toys, but he absolutely adores his foster dad (Mom's not jealous at all. ((Insert eyeroll)) Haha!) We're not certain what breeds he's mixed with, but he appears to have quite bit of herding dog character. For this reason, it's best if his home has only older children, as his attempts to "herd" his housemates may be a bit too much for little ones. Dunkin does great walking on a leash, or playing in a fenced yard, and is a really great entertainer and cuddler! If you're looking for a smaller dog with a big personality, look no further! Apply to meet Dunkin today!
Dunkin's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org

More about this rescue
Our Vision is to be a voice for those who are voiceless. We hear them with our hearts and give them a voice. Looking into the eyes of a rescued animal will speak volumes; watching those eyes light up will have an everlasting impact on you and the rescued animals.
We aren’t a typical rescue as we don’t take in dogs and put them in kennels until they’re adopted. All dogs we rescue are placed in loving foster homes that teach them to be the best dog they can be.
Our journey doesn’t end with adoption, either. We are here for you to support you in integrating your new member into your home, cheer new triumphs, and help with struggles.
