My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the absolute sweetest, goofiest, very athletic, animal and people loving young lady. Her name is Sophie!

Sophie is a sweet, funny 2 year old 60 lb mixed breed that looks like a boxer or American bulldog mix. She loves to play with toys and balls and has some mad dribbling skills. Check out the video of her playing with a large blue ball. She loves tennis balls too so maybe she has some retriever in her but who knows without a DNA test?

Sophie loves other dogs and she even gets along with cats! She loves to ride in the car for an adventure. House and crate trained and is a smart girl who knows commands like Sit, Come and No! Sophie loves her humans and does have some separation anxiety but is not destructive. She has a fair amount of energy but with all the soccer playing and chasing toys around on her own, she will be ready to lay by your feet in the evenings for a chill time.

Sophie has attend public events and does great with the crowds, loves everyone including kids, and just enjoys playing! Sophie would be a great asset to your soccer team or just to make you laugh. If you think Sophie could fit in your home, apply at www.caninecollective.org.

https://caninecollective.org/adoption-application/

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
