Meet Sarii: A Sweet, Resilient Retriever Mix Age: 2 years Weight: 50 pounds Breed: Black and White Retriever Mix
Sarii's story is one of resilience and hope. This gentle girl was found abandoned on the streets with her four puppies, and despite her challenging start, she's blossoming into a loving companion. Sarii is still getting accustomed to her new life and surroundings after living on the streets. She is learning how to walk on a leash and is progressing well, with no pulling. Sarii is crate and house trained, and she’s been a champ on car rides.
Though she prefers calm areas for her walks, she’s working on getting used to busier streets. With a slow introduction, Sarii is friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs, especially small ones. She does best with slow introductions to larger dogs and will keep to herself if other dogs aren’t friendly.
Sarii is not a fan of cats.
In the home, Sarii loves to sleep under the coffee table or on a dog bed, and she understands commands like “no,” quickly responding to them. She prefers quiet environments, making her a better fit for a couple or a home with older teenagers rather than young children. While Sarii is a bit hesitant around loud noises and sudden movements, she did remarkably well during her vet visit. She's not the biggest fan of baths but will patiently endure them.
Currently, Sarii is heartworm positive and will be starting her treatment soon. Despite this, she remains a good-natured girl who will thrive in a loving, low-maintenance home. Sarii’s sweet demeanor and gradual adjustment to her new life make her a wonderful companion for those willing to provide her with a bit of extra patience and care
