Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Angelica is ready for a home where she can nap by the window and enjoy some gentle pets from her humans! Angelica is very long furred and will appreciate being brushed when her coat grows back (she was recently shaved so she could look her best). This sweet girl is still learning to trust humans and can be a little unsure in new situations. We don't know much about her past-if only she could tell us! She would benefit from a kind and patient owner willing to let her go at her own pace. Angelica is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus positive), which means her immune system needs a little extra care. Despite her diagnosis, Angelica is full of life and joy! With regular vet check-ups, a healthy diet, and a calm, low-stress environment, Angelica can live a happy and fulfilling life. FeLV is not contagious to humans or other pets, only to other cats, so Angelica would do best as the only cat in your home or with other FeLV+ companions. She's ready to shower you with love and be your devoted feline friend!
If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
