Are you ok with a lap dog even if you loose site of your lap while they are sitting in your lap? If you said yes then come meet this guy. Bruskie is a handsome mix breed boy that gets the full body wiggle in his excitement when you talk or just take him out for a walk and yes, if given the chance he will gladly climb into your lap to give you kisses. Please call the shelter at 937-498-7201 with any questions you may have or to schedule a meet an greet. Lobby hours are Monday-Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-12. Open kennel hours are Monday-Friday 12-4 with Saturday by appointment.

The Shelby County Animal Shelter is a County office designed to serve the residents of Shelby County. They answer calls for stray dogs, complaints of dogs running at large, animal kills by dogs and coyotes, pick up stray dogs, answer humane complaints and reports of loose dogs.

The SCAS is open to people looking for a pet, looking for a missing pet, and those who just want to look at the animals. They accept dogs and cats from owners as well as strays, however a fee may be involved. They offer dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption.
