An amazing older puppy with a great foundation—meet BRAMBLE! This local and sweet boy came to us through Ipswich Animal Control and his siblings have already found their forever home but Bramble just says they’ve left the best for last He’s great with kids, cats, and dogs. He’s a well-rounded puppy off to a fantastic start.
Bramble “plays lovingly and well with his (canine) foster sister in a fenced in yard. He is curious about his surroundings and likes to sniff about in the yard and explore all the bushes and plants.
He is very well behaved with the two cats in the home. He will approach respectfully, stop, sniff and move on his way to playing with my dog.
Crate training has been going well. He sleeps through the night, never has accidents, and he has been working on crate training while I work from home and have zoom meetings. Each day he gets better with crate training and he loves his kong treats while I work. He is a fast learner and is catching on to the training.
He goes for a daily leash walk around the park. He loves to sniff about and smell things so he's not in a rush when his nose is leading the pace. He is not phased by car noises or the commuter train noises.
He is highly food motivated and motivated to train. We are woking on him sitting in his crate before leaving, at the door before going in and out of the house, and at stop signs for him. He is a fast learner and motivated. He is good with recall, especially if treats are involved.
He is super gentle with his mouth and I don't find him to be a mouthy puppy. He thrives on routine and activity!”
We expect Bramble to be medium to large when full grown. Breed (mix) would just be a guess but what we do know, is this brindled boy is a beauty. He’s fostered in Winchester MA and available to a forever home anywhere in New England.
Rescue story––Bramble was part of a local litter that came through an animal control officer as a court ordered surrender. They were raised from birth with both parents until their surrender at 12 weeks old. They had great care in the ACO facility with a team of thoughtful volunteers until they came to Rescue Inc and transitioned to foster homes.

Please do not email, simply submit an application link here www.rescueinc.dog/adopt and we do respond to every application within 48 hours.

All of our pups come with the following:
WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.
Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.
