Newer 3 year old neutered male, Ares.
Ares is a very excitable and happy go lucky sweet boy. He came to us just a few weeks ago a young and unworked dobie. His foster is working on getting some weight on him and also working with the core basics of training with him. He is extremely smart and eager to learn, which makes training pretty smooth. He is being taught leash skills and keeping his overactive curious mind focused on his person and what he is learning at the moment. He is a puller and using a training collar is very effective and recommended.
Ares does well with all of the resident dogs(male and female). Ares doesn't have a lot of experience with children and gets very jumpy and bouncy when he is meeting new people, so we are suggesting that older, bigger kids would be best for him.
No exposures to kitties. Foster has cattle across property and Ares will bark but does not chase. He crates up nicely and does well. On car rides he gets a little whiny at first but then settles down after a bit.
This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Please read all adoption steps and policies carefully on our website. http://dobermanrescueminnesota.com/adoption-steps/ Qualified adopters are within the approved adoption area, and Adopter will be requested to visit this foster dog at the foster family home. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
