My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sunshine, a stunning 8-year-old orange tabby with a heart as warm as her name. Her journey hasn’t been easy—she lost her home when her previous owner fell too ill to care for her and was surrendered to a vet for euthanasia simply because she tested positive for FIV. Thankfully, a kind-hearted volunteer stepped in, giving Sunshine the second chance she so deserves.

Sunshine is a sweetheart through and through. She adores head bumps, snuggles, and showing affection to her feline friends and foster mom. Currently, she’s living harmoniously with a 20-year-old FIV+ cat, proving her easy-going nature and ability to blend well with others.

FIV might sound intimidating, but here’s the truth: it’s not easily spread. It requires a deep bite wound for transmission and isn’t passed through casual contact like grooming, sharing food or water bowls, or play fighting. Sunshine’s FIV status doesn’t hold her back—and it shouldn’t hold you back from giving her the loving home she dreams of.

If you’re searching for a gentle, affectionate companion who will bring light to your life, Sunshine is ready to be your ray of hope. Could you be her forever family?
