My name is Truffles!

Truffles is the perfect petite gentleman. This handsome cream neutered male is a mere 40 pounds (he could put on a few pounds) and is very polite, quiet and calm. He is good around other dogs, is good with a crate (sometimes he barks for a bit), rides nicely in a car, is walking well on a leash and is housetrained. He is calm and polite, and would love to hang out wherever you are working or lounging. He can be crated, but isn't a fan of crate (lots of barking). His fosters say this of him: 'His personality is starting to shine through now that he has been here for a few days.  He gets along well with the other dogs.  Not sure what kind of life he had before the shelter, but he is such a lovable dog.  He had definitely taken to me and stays close to my side.    I have let him stay out of his crate at night when it is bed time and he sleeps in the dog bed next to my bed and he stays put all night. Truffles goes out for a leashed walk with one of our other pei in the morning for a mile long walk, and he does really well.  He never pulls, and he isn’t shy about going potty on the leash. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys, but he does love his nylon chew and bully sticks.  He spends his time in the (open) crate when he has his chew toys. Truffles also love to eat just about everything we put in front of him.  He has a good appetite, and he really seems to like frozen fruit which is kind of interesting to see, since our own pei want nothing to do with it.  We haven’t found anything Truffles won’t eat. I think he is getting used to the house now, and he knows we are coming back so there hasn’t been any barking in the crate.' Truffles is fostering in San Diego area and is interviewing new homes!!
