Morgan Wallen is an adorable male Tabby kitten who was born in our shelter on April 10, 2024. His mother (June) had arrived the previous day and thankfully was settled into a nice blanket-filled cage when she gave birth to five beautiful kittens. Our HSOV kennel techs chose the names Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, and Tyler Childers for the newborns.
Momma June was accompanied by a younger Bobtail/Dilute Tortoiseshell kitty (Priscilla) who is surely her 'daughter' from a previous litter and (sigh) Priscilla also gave birth to five kittens on April 13th. Four of her kittens survived but the fifth one was stillborn.
Fortunately for them, HSOV volunteer/foster mother Wendy Jo Irvin offered this blended family of two mothers and their nine kittens a temporary home on May 4, 2024 where they could raise their babies in a loving home environment instead of a small shelter cage.
Morgan Wallen has a dark brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and the cutest kitten face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, a splash of white on his muzzle/chin, and long white whiskers.
Morgan was given wormer on May 4, 2024. He was given vaccinations and wormer on May 24, 2024 and was given booster vaccines on June 11, 2024.
These photos of Morgan were taken on August 16, 2024 when his foster mother brought both sets of kittens in for their 'big boy/big girl pictures'. Morgan has an affectionate, playful personality and quickly had our photographer wrapped around his cute little paws.
Morgan Wallen was neutered on August 11, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 5.4 lbs that day. Morgan is ready to find a home with someone as special as he truly is ... And, of course, we'd love to see him adopted with one of his siblings (or cousins) since kittens do so much better in pairs.
Morgan and his siblings (and cousins) are still in foster care. HSOV adoption applications are currently being accepted for these beautiful kittens, and a meet-and-greet can be arranged with an approved HSOV application.
Thanks to their foster mother for taking the most wonderful care of these delightful kittens (and their two awesome mothers). They have definitely been showered with love and attention and will arrive 'pre-spoiled' in their new homes (smile).
