My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Patton is a 9-month-old German Pinscher/Shep Mix. He was found in a hiking area below Wrightwood, CA at approximately 6-months. Hikers had seen him for a few days, but were unable to catch him. He was finally able to be trapped and is now in a foster home. He is friendly with all dogs and all people and children. Foster says he loves his pitbull sister and would play with her all day long if she’d allow it. Although initially shy once he meets someone, he warms up quickly and wants to play. He’s a friendly, active, athletic, curious little guy who survived a few nights alone among mountain lions after he was presumably dumped. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and ready for his forever home!

More about this rescue

Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the specific purpose of operating an all breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to providing rescue to abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless animals. We rescue dogs in the United States from imminent death at animal shelters, humane societies, pounds, and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs, and place them into new and permanent adoptive homes.

All of our dogs receive vet care, are up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.
