My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Patton! I am an approximately 6-month-old shepherd/Doberman Mix? At least that was the Vet’s best guess. I’m 34 pounds now and just got a clean bill of health from the Vet. Sadly, I was dumped in the mountains near Wrightwood, CA. A few hikers saw me but I was too afraid to come too close to them. A nice lady trapped me the next day using hot bacon and a humane trap; That was sneaky! She is fostering me now, but I need to find my forever home. She says I’m soooo sweet and cuddly, smart, and very well-behaved. I’ve never pottied in her house or my crate! I love running around and playing chase and tug-o-war. I can already sit and I’m really good on leash walks. I love the big doggies that live in the house where I’m staying and I play with them respectfully. I’ve had my first set of shots. Foster will pay for neuter and out-of-state transport to good home.

More about this rescue

Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the specific purpose of operating an all breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to providing rescue to abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless animals. We rescue dogs in the United States from imminent death at animal shelters, humane societies, pounds, and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs, and place them into new and permanent adoptive homes.

All of our dogs receive vet care, are up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.
