My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Onyx & Jade are at our PetSmart, Aero adoption center. ***

Onyx: gray tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 5/1/24, #19273
Jade: buff & white tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 5/1/24, #19274

Cats: must have kitty friend
Dogs: unknown
Children: cat-savvy tweens+ or adult home

Onyx and Jade were two of several kittens found in a man's yard. He took them in and then reached out to The Rescue House to help them find loving homes. Their sister has been adopted and hopefully the boys will soon be next!

Jade and Onyx are loving little boys who flourish when they are given the opportunity to adjust to new environments at their own pace with your encouragement. Change can be a scary thing for a kitty. They love to be held and will curl up on a blanket on your lap, especially to wind down the evening before bed, but may need a pick-up boost to get the snuggle session started. Jade's been working on his appreciative purr though both clearly enjoy the attention. They need patience and understanding to help them be their best and most confident selves, yet the time you spend bonding with these kitties to forge a close connection is time to be cherished. They are suckers for Churu-type treats and love playing with feather toys, interactive wands, ping pong balls, and crinkle tunnels. Their silly antics will make you smile and the sweet trust they show as you get to know each other will melt your heart!

Onyx and Jade would love to be a permanent duo, though if that's not in the cards then they will each need a welcoming feline friend. They adore other cats and Jade in particular has been the welcome party for new-arriving kittens in their foster home. They have not met dogs. Since they startle easily and don't like loud noises, we recommend a quieter home without children; calm cat-savvy tweens+ who can appreciate their need for love and encouragement may be fine.

These sweet boys are diamonds in the rough: with some patience and polish, they will shine! When you fall in love with them, they give you soooo much love back. Will you be their soulmate?
