My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Don't let his grumpy face fool you. Max is a sweetheart and enjoys being held. Max is part of an animal rescue situation in Orwell, where a senior citizen was unable to care for or feed her pets.
Max is pretty low key and just looking for a bed where he can snuggle and enjoy his senior years.

He is a handsome long hair cat with light orange/white hair. Max is neutered, vaccinated and has tested negative for leukemia/FIV.
Could you be Max's forever home? To meet Max, please contact Kathy Deptola Animal Rescue 440 862 0610, kdanimalrescue@gmail.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each potential adopter is questioned regarding their past and current pet history. Understanding what you are looking for in matching up one of my current adoptees, helps to ensure a successful lifelong relationship.

Because I promote companion animals, all pets are required to be indoor pets only. A reasonable adoption donation is asked for every pet adoption. The fee for cats is $70.

All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract agreeing to the conditions of this rescue.

Go meet their pets

After potential adopters have been approved, I will schedule a time where you can either come to my home to meet pets I have available for adoption, or I can bring whoever you are interested in to your home for a meeting.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement... "To supply a temporary foster home for abused, abandoned, sick and injured animals, that will provide for both their medical and emotional needs, until a permanent loving indoor home is found".

Kathy Deptola Animal Rescue began animal rescue work with a local animal shelter about 25 years ago. Because I truly do believe in giving every animal a chance at life, I now foster and do animal placement out of my home.

Each and every animal that enters my home is given any medical care, rehabilitation and socialization that it needs. Never is an animal in my foster care destroyed because "no one wanted them", or because "their time ran out".

Patience and a lot of love are the keys to finding the right homes. Often times many of these animals have had a bad experience and need to be given guidance, love and reassurance.

Every pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and blood tested...(Leukemia/FIV for cats), (Heartworm for dogs) prior to adoption.
