Priscilla is a beautiful 2-year old female American Bobtail/Dilute Tortoiseshell kitty who was brought to the HSOV on April 9, 2024 after she was found in Marietta Ohio. She was accompanied by June (an older Bobtail/Dilute Tortoiseshell kitty) whom we are 99.9% sure is her mother). Both of these girls were very pregnant when they entered our shelter.
Priscilla gave birth to five kittens on April 13th but, sadly, one of her kittens was stillborn. Her remaining four kittens (Lzzy Hale, Maria Brink, Noah Sebastian, and Vessel) were raised to be healthy, happy youngsters. Mother June gave birth to five healthy kittens on April 10th.
Fortunately for Priscilla & June, HSOV volunteer/foster mother Wendy Jo Irvin gave this blended family of two mothers and their nine kittens a wonderful temporary safe haven where they were raised in a loving home environment.
Priscilla was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on April 10, 2024. She was given booster vaccines on May 4, 2024 and was also combo tested that day (with negative results for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm).
Priscilla was spayed on July 23, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccines. She weighed 7.4 lbs that day.
June and Priscilla were returned to HSOV on August 16th so that they would be more visible/available to meet potential adopters. They are currently sharing a large cat tower in the lobby of our shelter. June & Priscilla have affectionate personalities and love attention. They are ready to find fabulous homes of their very own either separately or together.
Priscilla and June's nine kittens are still in foster care and will soon be introduced with their ‘big boy/big girl’ photos. Seven of the kittens have now been spayed/neutered, and the remaining two will be spayed in another week or so. Thanks to their foster mother for taking the most wonderful care of these delightful moms and their kittens. They have definitely been showered with love and attention and will arrive 'pre-spoiled' in their new homes (smile).
