My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Leona, the mother of the Wild Bunch and I am beautiful inside and out. I am a gentle soul that was part of a TNR colony when I was rescued. It was discovered that I was not just another feral, but given the opportunity to see if I would do well with my babies in a loving foster home. My foster momma gave me all the space, love, and patience to figure out I was safe. I am very vocal and demanding when it comes to breakfast and dinner time and will let my foster mom know, especially if breakfast is late..lol. I love nothing more than to play, nap, eat and explore with my children, Sampson, Lola and Fiona and not necessarily in that order. My foster momma says I am a beautiful Tortie, smart as a whip and still learning to trust, but have come a long way in a short amount of time. My foster momma makes sure I am well loved, provides plenty of toys, treats and cat trees to hide and scratch. I am learning to trust her and will sit near her and will let her pet me briefly while I eat or while she gives me delectable treats. I will look at you with my big, beautiful eyes, and you can see that I am thinking,
studying my surroundings, and working on building trust.

I would make a great sibling that can help me continue to build trust with my human. My foster momma has a small dog that I am getting used to, but dogs are not a big deal, as long as they like kitties, as well as her other cats. Leona loves to spend her days playing and cuddling with her babies or the other cats in the house. She would do well in a home with older children/teens, or companion(s) that would give her time to acclimate, build trust and understand that she is a work in progress.

More about this rescue

A Winning Team

We are a small group of animal lovers who are working together to help facilitate Trap Neuter Release and medical care for animals in need. We are here to help each other help the animals and to partner with businesses, rescues and groups to make the biggest impact.

Our History

Mia (known as “Murderous Mia”) is a rescue cat who came to her mom as a hospice foster with many medical issues. She has overcome a lot of health concerns and in her journey, met a lot of human pals (many of whom are a little frightened of her angsty 4 pd person). She and her pals decided that they wanted to help animals in need. So a group of her people joined together to help do Trap Neuter Release (TNR) to lessen the population and suffering of animals and help cover costs of care for animals in need (dogs, cats, birds... Mia insists on not being specist). She invites all those who want to find a way to help to join her mafia. Her only rules are: 1. the animals come first 2. everyone supports each other and 3. no drama remain calm. The goal is to have fun while we all work together to make life better for the ones we can help.

Animals Are Our Mission

We focus on keeping things positive and supporting each other so that we can be at our best to do the most good for the animals. We strive to collaborate with others and encourage our team to come up with new and better ideas of ways to help and to run with those ideas.
