Meet Oreo, a 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a heart full of love and a story that breaks our hearts. Oreo’s world was turned upside down when his guardian was tragically murdered, leaving him without a home or a familiar face to comfort him. Now at our rescue, Oreo is understandably very scared and uncertain of his surroundings. This sweet boy needs a patient and understanding adopter who can offer him the time and care he needs to feel safe and loved again. Oreo may be shy at first, but with gentle encouragement and a calm environment, his true affectionate nature will shine through. Famous Fido was founded by Gloria Lissner who has been independently rescuing dogs from the death rows of kill shelters since 1975. She officially opened Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance in July 2010. All our dogs recieve the necessary vet care and treatment is never refused. Famous Fido has developed a full merchandise line, starting with our all natural dog treats to support our rescue efforts. Our products are available for purchase on our website. The mission of FFRAA is to form an alliance with similar organizations to increase community awareness, public consciences and create a No Kill Nation.
