For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Hello there, my name is Ash! What a pleasure to meet you. I'm a young Large Mixed Breed that weighs roughly 47 pounds as of right now. Yes, I'm a perfect size to snuggle with. I'm playful, outgoing, silly, and a good time! I love all people I meet, so don't be shy. As I'm still just a youngster, I will need some training still such as: basic manners and obedience! I walk well on the leash and would love a family that is as active as I am! Walks, runs, hikes, playing in the water- you name it and I'll be ready for the adventure. I play wonderful with other dogs around my size and age and I sure wouldn't mind a canine companion to share my new home with. If you would like to bring your dog up for a meet-n-greet, contact my humane caretakers to schedule a time! I'm catching onto the shelters schedule with going outside to do my business, I'll need some time to learn your routine as well! I'm a very smart boy and I'm eager to learn! I'm neutered, current on my vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped! I'll be waiting to meet you at the Benbrook Waggin' Tails Adoption Center. They are open daily from 12-6 p.m. If you have any questions about me or the adoption process, call 817-249-3647.

More about this shelter
Our History
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need. HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations and humane euthanasia. HSNT operates four pet adoption centers and a quarantine facility in Tarrant County, as well as an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.
