My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rhaenys is a sweet and spirited 2-3-year-old female dog who’s ready to find her forever home. Rescued from Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico, she’s now looking forward to a new chapter in Morristown, NJ, where she’ll be arriving in September.

Despite her rough start, Rhaenys has a heart full of joy and a wagging tail that never stops. She’s a happy and loving pup who’s currently learning the ropes of walking on a leash. With a little patience and encouragement, she’ll soon master it and be ready for fun adventures with her new family.

Rhaenys will be spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations before she joins you, making her a healthy and well-prepared addition to your home. If you’re looking for a resilient and affectionate companion who’s ready to bring happiness and love into your life, Rhaenys is the perfect match.

Please fill out an application for Rhaenys and see how this delightful girl can become a cherished member of your family!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. There are currently an estimated 500,000 stray dogs roaming the island’s streets and beaches. With no access to food, fresh water, or veterinary care, many of these dogs are living daily lives of severe suffering. The municipal shelter system is drastically overwhelmed, with only five shelters across all 78 of the island’s municipalities. These shelters have a combined euthanasia rate of over 94%. For thousands of stray and abandoned dogs in the area in which we operate, we are their only hope.

More about this rescue

In order to meet our adoptable dogs you need to first complete our Adoption Application which can be found here: http://www.thesatoproject.org/applicationform. We will then get in touch to process your application and set up a virtual meet and greet with our dogs in Puerto Rico. We will then let you know when your Sato will be making their flight to the mainland!

Our adoption fee is $650. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated and microchipped.
