My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alex,

Alex is a bundle of energy and curiosity, ready to take on the world one playful leap at a time! This outgoing and adventurous kitten is always the first to try new things, whether it's exploring every nook and cranny of the apartment, perching on the windowsill to watch the world go by, or getting into a bit of harmless mischief. With his boundless energy, Alex's playtime level is set to a solid ten! He runs, jumps, hides, and ambushes, making every moment with him full of excitement and fun. And just when you think he's tired out, he’s ready for rounds 2, 3, and 4 after just a short break!

Alex would thrive in a home that understands his development stage and provides the love, reassurance, and patience he needs to continue growing into the confident, affectionate cat he’s destined to be. He will easily adapt to a household with respectful and gentle children.

Imagine a home filled with double the love, double the joy, and double the heartwarming moments. That’s exactly what you’ll experience with Alex and Ally, two inseparable brothers whose bond is as deep as it is beautiful. These two are more than just siblings; they are best friends, playmates, and lifelong companions. Their days are spent in a joyful dance of wrestling, chasing each other around, and then curling up together for a cozy nap, their purrs harmonizing in perfect unison.

Alex and Ally share a connection that transcends words, a silent understanding that they are each other's world. Watching them together is like witnessing the purest form of love and companionship. They find comfort in each other’s presence, always snuggling close and looking out for one another. Separating them would be like pulling apart two halves of a whole, and that’s why adopting them together would be the greatest gift you could give them and yourself. But if adopting both isn’t possible, Alex would still thrive in a home with another young, playful cat. He’s a social little guy who craves the company of his feline friends. He needs a buddy to keep him company, someone to share his adventures and to snuggle up with when the day is done. By adopting Alex and Ally together, you’re not just giving them a home; you’re keeping a beautiful bond intact and bringing an abundance of love into your life. These two brothers are ready to fill your home with their playful energy, endless affection, and the kind of companionship that only comes from the deepest of connections. Can you open your heart and home to double the love?

In Alex’s world, kittens truly rule. But even with all his playful antics, he’s starting to figure out that the human by his side is someone he can trust. When he finds a spare minute between his playful escapades, you might catch him cautiously climbing onto your lap for a brief cuddle. He's learning that pets and a soothing voice mean affection, and his soft purrs of approval show just how loving he really is.

One of Alex's favorite pastimes is playing with small, catnip-filled mice. He loves to toss, pounce, chase, and hide his little toy, savoring the victory of catching his "prey." It’s absolutely adorable to watch him carry his mouse around in his mouth, proudly showing off his catch! He also has a blast with balls and wand toys, making playtime with him a lively and joyful experience.

Alex has shown that he’s the brave leader of his sibling duo, always the first to try new things and take risks. Whether it's inching closer to you for food or venturing out for a toy, Alex’s confidence is growing by the day. He’s come a long way from the scared little kitten who couldn’t be touched, transforming into a confident, playful kitten who’s comfortable in the presence of humans.

Alex started his indoor journey in the bathroom, a safe and secure space for him to adjust to his new life. But it wasn’t long before he outgrew his quarters, successfully jumping over the baby gate and claiming the apartment as his domain. Now, he’s ready for a forever home that can accommodate his need for space to run, climb, and explore.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
