Moose is a 1-year-old bundle of energy and love who is eager to find his forever home! Moose came to us as a stray, and though he once had an owner, they chose not to reclaim him and surrendered ownership to us. Having lived in a home before, the kennel has been a tough adjustment for him, causing stress and anxiety. Moose is a true people-lover who craves attention and always wants to be by your side. Super friendly and instantly smitten with everyone he meets, Moose gets along well with other dogs but isn’t a fan of cats. He’s still young and needs training, as he didn’t receive proper enrichment or guidance before coming to us. That said, he’s incredibly smart and with the right owner, one who is patient and committed, Moose will thrive! Moose is always up for an adventure, loves to play, walks well on a leash, and brings tons of love and fun into any home. To meet Moose, please call 843-249-4948 to schedule an appointment, or you can submit an application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/. If you are interested in fostering Moose, please submit an application here: https://humanesocietynmb.org/be-a-foster-caregiver/

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.
Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.
Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
