My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey, I'm Tonya, and let me tell you, I'm one happy girl with a lot of energy to share! I'm 4 years old, and while I came from animal control, I'm ready to put that behind me and find a new home where I can truly shine. I've got a lot of excitement bundled up inside me, and I'll admit, I can be a bit bouncy when I first get out for a walk-sometimes I jump so high I surprise even myself! Don't worry though, I'm tough and always ready for more fun.

I absolutely love meeting new people and dogs, and my tail won't stop wagging when I'm making new friends. I'm a friendly, playful girl who just wants to say hello to everyone I meet. I don't mind waterfowl, but I'm much more interested in butt scratches and soft, smelly treats-yum! I don't know too many tricks just yet, but I'm learning, and I'll sit for a treat when you ask me nicely. I may have a lot of energy, but after a good walk, I settle down and enjoy all the affection I can get.

If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky pup with a big heart and an even bigger love for life, I'm your girl!

If the pet is already spayed/neutered, and we're not waiting on a meet & greet or medical results to come back, the pet can go home TODAY!

Additional adoption info

VHS Adoption hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 12:00-6:00 pm Central Standard Time.

Our adoption fees are as follows:

Cats & kittens: $100
Dogs older than 6 months: $200
Puppies under 6 months: $250
Rabbits: $50

Dog and cat adoption fees include the animal's spay or neuter, nationally-registered microchip, and age-appropriate vaccinations.
