Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jeepers! She's the only girl from the Jeepers, Jinkies and Zoinks litter. She's also the only one who agreed with having human friends, even if she's a little shy at first!
We estimate Jeepers to be around 10 weeks old. She and her brothers were found together under a business in Moscow, at around 5 weeks old with no momma cat in sight. The finders brought the three kittens to HSoP for care, and they quickly sprouted into strong, slightly feisty, and adorable kittens. The boys, Jinkies and Zoinks, have made it very clear to us that they do not appreciate human company. We decided that the boys are better suited for a barn home, but Jeepers showed potential for turning a new leaf and viewing people as her friends.
She was nervous at first - which showed itself in the form of some quiet hisses. With time and continued socialization, Jeepers quickly came out of her shell and began to appreciate human affection. Once her purr started, there was no turning back! After several days of near-constant socialization in the lobby, Jeepers is ready to find a home where she can continue coming out of her shell.
She is still a shy girl and prefers to stay in the comfort of her hidey-hut, but she instantly starts purring and rubbing against your hand when you offer her some love. She's even started flopping over, going belly-up to show how much she loves being loved on!
Jeepers grew up with her two brothers, but we aren't sure how she would do in a home with dogs or other cats. From the personality we've seen, Jeepers would probably do okay with another pet if they could be slowly introduced so as not to overwhelm or scare her. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to help ensure a good fit, and this can be extended if desired.
Jeepers cannot leave HSoP until after her spay. She can still have visitors and accept applications in the meantime! If you're interested in Jeepers, please visit her at HSoP between 2:00-6:00pm Monday through Saturday. Please note, dog kennels close at 5:00pm each day.
The feline adoption fee is $100. Jeepers will be spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped with her new owner's information by the time she goes home.
