My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Foster or Adopter Needed- Hi guys my name is Sven! You may remember me as the pup that had to have multiple surgeries done to correct several injuries including a bone deformity in my hind leg. Thanks to the amazing crew at Gem City Veterinary, the Laramie community, and LAWS dedicated volunteers I’ve been able to rest and recover and am now looking for a foster or a foster to forever home. The most important thing to know about me is that I LOVE, love! Humans are my favorite and when multiple people visit me at the same time, I simply have to go say hi to everybody. However, sometimes I get anxious when my humans leave and will chew up my toys and bed. The LAWS volunteers have been working with me on this by providing me with stimulation while they’re gone. I’m a very smart dog and love to figure out puzzle games in return for treats! My back leg injury barely slows me down and I would love to go on adventures with you. Some of my favorites include walks, car rides and, pup cups. I’m learning leash manners and other basic commands such as heel and sit. I need a family without small pets or kids, who will be able to dedicate more time into my training and most importantly cuddle with me every night! My ideal home would be with someone who is home often. I can’t wait to be your best friend!

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
