Meet Little Man Baxter! This poor little guy's owner passed away and the extended family surrendered him in hopes he'd find a loving home where he would be treasured and loved forever. We won't let this little guy down. Baxter is very smart, curious, alert, playful, energetic and likes to be with his people. He bonds quickly and would do very well in an active adult only household where he will be included in outdoor adventures like long sniffaroo walks where he can move those fast little legs and sniff and learn about his environment until his heart's content. He'd make a fantastic buddy not only for daily walks but also for hikes and all kinds of outdoor outings. He loves playing ball, going for walks and chasing after toys. He loves having an activity or a job to do so he could put his intelligence and little legs to work - they may be short but they sure move fast! A fenced in yard would be a plus as he really enjoys the freedom of running and chasing after his toys. He has an endearing talent with his ears: both up; one up, one down; and a look of no ears at all lol. Baxter would thrive in a home that not only can provide him with daily physical and mental activity but also one that he can enjoy some downtime just being close to his people. He gets along with other dogs, was interested in the cat we introduced him to but respectfully backed off when the cat told him to. He is estimated to have been born around December 2022 and weighs around 40 lbs. He's neutered, up to date with vaccinations and micro-chipped.

Please note, we are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our dogs go to a "forever" loving, nurturing home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
