Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ELLIOT is a BLUE SNOWSHOE with light blue eyes. He is 2 years old, has his claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. This big boy weighs around 14 lbs.
Elliot came into our rescue when his owner noticed that he was showing some domineering tendencies by playing aggressively with his feline brother. She wasn’t comfortable with this behavior and contacted SPCR to help find this endearing boy a different loving forever home.
Elliot’s foster mom has quickly become very fond of this sweet, big, and initially a bit shy boy with his light blue eyes, that unique white blaze marking on his face, and his white socks. He has been through a lot of changes by losing the only home he has known in his young life, and doesn’t appear to be quite as confident as some cats his foster parents have fostered. However, his foster mom finds him to be a very lovable and affectionate cat once he trusts his person. He now comes as soon as he hears his foster mom, enjoys being petted and brushed, and loves head scratches and belly rubs all the while purring up a storm.
As far as cat compatibility is concerned, Elliot has been respectful and even a bit intimidated by his foster parent’s own female Siamese who likes to come around his space to see if there is some leftover food that needs to be consumed by her lest it spoils.😂 He may be fine with another cat that sets boundaries with him, and with slow introductions, but he would probably prefer being a single cat. His foster parents don’t have dogs, but a cat friendly dog should be okay. Per his previous owner, Elliot has been around children and once he feels confident, will slowly come around out of curiosity.
If you are one of those people who adores having a quiet, chill, not overly active feline companion around, Elliot will fit that bill. He does not appear to be a play monster, but perhaps in a home where he can get more one-on-one attention from his new people, he may want to engage a bit more in some play time. He is not a door dasher or under foot, which some people would appreciate in their cat.
Elliot eats both wet and dry food, but should predominantly eat a wet food diet to assure proper hydration as well as keeping him lean. He will come to his new home with a very recent dental cleaning and he is using his litter box perfectly.
ADOPTION FEE $225. FOSTERED IN MEQUON, WI.
