For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Here's what my shelter friends said about me: "I was not expecting to be greeted with happy wiggles and tail wags when I removed the blanket from Rin Tin Tin's kennel! He's a completely different dog from when I first met him in eval. He got a little barky at a large dog outside his kennel (we did that on purpose) but it wasn't that bad. I think it's just a hey, I want the attention you're giving that dog! He was excited on his leash at first to go outside but immediately went to a fence with a much larger dog, took a pee and had no issue with that large dog. Once outside he became the little Velcro buddy I met before but this time he wasn't scared! When I got on his level he immediately hopped in my lap for pets and attention and he gave me all the kisses too! His tail never stopped wagging. He's just a happy little scruffy Gremlin! He let me dress him up in silly hats club so I could take all the glamour shots! He loves pets and attention and will ask for more, and will sit for treats without being asked! He is very treat motivated and takes them gently. Rin Tin Tin also LOVES BALL! He trots around with it in his mouth and will do little play bows with it. He did great with dogs through the fence and was a perfect little gentleman with a1956084 Nicole outside with polite sniffs and happy tail wags for her. I'm so happy to see he's improved at Barc from the first day I met him. I love this little scruffy Gremlin, he's a little cutie pie and trotted right back to his kennel."
