My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dottie, a playful sweetheart who will steal your heart with the cutest floppy ears around! .

Dottie came to us when she was found as a stray and ended up in an overcrowded shelter in Detroit. Despite some nervousness around new experiences and new people, she has a very sweet disposition and gentle demeanor. Dottie is a lover and absolutely adores other dogs. She is your typical puppy that loves to play, sleep and eat! Dottie is already crate trained and is doing great with her potty training as well. She is 99% there! With consistency we know she will have her potty training mastered in no time. So if you are looking for a super friendly and gorgeous puppy to add to your family, APPLY today!!!

*Approx. 10-11 months old
*37 lbs. of cuteness
*Great with other dogs (cats unknown)
*Loves to play and run around the yard
*Once playtime is done she loves cuddling up with her humans and fur foster siblings
*Crate trained & doing GREAT with house training
*Rides great in the car
*Enjoys playing with toys

Additional adoption info

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.

Follow us on our journey to create a rescue that provides animals the love and care they need while they find their home. We will post updates on our social media of the dogs we are able to help and how your support made a difference.
