Nimbzee is one lucky lady. She was found with her 3 siblings, mom, and dad living in a garage off of trash in Tucson, AZ. They were all sick, emaciated, and terrified. Luckily, through the grapevine, an ARR rescue enthusiast heard of the plight and through the help of some amazing members of the community, the family found their way to CO where they went into foster, got medical attention, and learned the comfort of human touch. When Nimbzee and her siblings came into foster, they were all timid at first - but not Nimbzee. Nimbzee was eager to play, dying for attention, and craved love so much. Now Nimbzee is the life of the party in her band full of siblings and foster kitten friends. She loves a good cuddle puddle - with humans and her fellow felines. She likes to play, as kittens do, but isn't on the crazy tyrant kitten level (you know, the Tarzan wanna be types). She hasn't been around dogs much but has adapted so well to all the changes life has thrown her way so it's likely she would warm up to a dog being around. Having another cat in the home to show her the ropes would be a huge plus. She has been handled by supervised children and is moderately tolerant of small hands but will squirm/escape if she gets uncomfortable (which she should be allowed to do by the supervising adult). Overall, she's a real sweet girl who is eager to give love (and receive it). Her siblings are also available for adoption (or will be soon). There names are Jeffrey Jr, Meep, and Josey.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
