Jeffrey Junior is named after Jeffrey - his fosters mom's cat. Not only do they look alike but they resemble each other in personality also. Jeffrey Jr. has a sleek striped coat with a white belly and white 'socks'. His coat reminds me a bit of a pinstriped suit.
Jeffrey Jr. came from Tucson, AZ where he was living in a garage with his mom, dad, and 3 other siblings. They were all emaciated, scared, sick, and had skin infections. With help from the rescue community and some amazing volunteers, the family got their 2nd lease on life and hitched a ride to a foster home in CO. Jeffrey Jr and his siblings all thrived with some medication, lots of food, a warm place to sleep, and a little TLC. Jeffrey Jr can often be found snuggled up with one of his siblings, bathing in the sun, wrestling one of the other foster kittens, or carpet surfing for food crumbs. He does like a daily snuggle sesh but is pretty active too so will need more than one outlet or zoomies may ensue. He has been handled by supervised children but wouldn't necessarily sit idly by while he's covered in stickers. He hasn't been around dogs much but was pretty spooked when he saw one from across the room. He would likely warm up with some time but would definitely prefer to be in a home with at least one other cat also to show him the ropes of cat-dog siblingship. He likes to play with all types of toys and is sometimes a rascal but if you love playful kitten energy, Jeff Jr is definitely your guy. His siblings are also up for adoption or will be shortly - their names are Nimbzee, Meep, and Josey. 15 weeks old, as of 9/16/24

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
- $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
- $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
- $200 for kittens (6 months & under)
- $125 for cats (older than 6 months)
- $75 for senior cats (8 years or older)

Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
