A Little Bit About Me

Patchouli is as intriguing as his name! This big tuxedo cat is as handsome and classy as a cat can be! He is a shy guy at first, but once comfortable is full of love. His previous guardian describes him as calm, independent, and affectionate (evidenced by their pictures of Patchouli sleeping on his back in their lap!). Patchouli is looking for a home that is the epitome of tranquility, full of love, and maybe a safe garden as he went in/out at will in his previous home. Patchouli is looking for an experienced cat guardian and would like to be the only feline in his new home (a home without dogs). This interesting guy loves the wand toy and his head rubs, but also has a refreshing independent spirit at times. He is ready to begin the next chapter of life in his forever home with his forever family!

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
