Age: approx. 18 months
Weight: 50lbs
Medical Needs: None
Housebroken: no
Crate trained: Yes
Good in the car: yes
Good on a leash: Bozo is fearful of unknown people. He freezes on the leash and then tries to hide. He has shown improvement in this area.
Energy level: Medium
Need a fenced in yard: Yes. It is where he feels most comfortable.
Dog Friendly: Yes
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Recommended
Cat Friendly? Yes
Kid Friendly: Yes, with children who can be patient. He might be scared of noise/playful activity. No aggression seen. This boy is all flight, no fight.
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? 8 and willing to give him space to adjust.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Bo is a good boy who will need a patient adoptor to let him get confident in a new home. He LOVES to run in the yard and comes in well with other dogs in foster home. On leash he is less confident and rarely poops on his walk. Bo gets very excited when given attention and face rubs, but still moves cautiously out of the crate and back. He will need frequent trips out to get a schedule down to improve his house breaking. A belly band will help with this during training. Although listed as a hound mix, he has not howled. Will bark if in crate when he needs to go outside.
