My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hanson is a striking Akbash/Kangal/Asian Shepherd mix, born on June 30, 2024. He is a fantastic companion for families, with a friendly nature that allows him to get along well with kids, dogs, and even cats. This makes him an excellent addition to various households. His Anatolian herding heritage imbues him with strong protective instincts and a majestic presence, and he is expected to grow into a large and impressive dog.

This loyal puppy will thrive in a home with another friendly dog and an owner experienced with large breeds. Consistent training, socialization, and exercise will help Hanson develop into a devoted and loving companion. His adoption will be finalized after his spay/neuter surgery, which is scheduled between 4-6 months old. His foster-to-adopt agreement includes vaccines, microchipping, and deworming. The vaccine schedule includes DAPPV #2 and Bordetella #2 on September 21, as well as DAPPV #3 and Rabies (plus a fecal test) on October 19.

Applicants must adhere to the "No Paws on the Ground" (NPOG) protocol, meaning Hanson must stay indoors until fully vaccinated. Renters will need to provide proof of a pet policy with no size restrictions, as Hanson is expected to be quite large. Apply today at www.snarllv.org to bring this amazing puppy into your home!

More about this rescue

Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
