My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Clovis!

If you're searching for a loyal, protective companion with a commanding presence, Clovis might just be your perfect match. This charming pup, part of an exceptional litter of Akbash/Kangal/Asian Shepherd mixes, is great with kids, dogs, and even cats, making him a fantastic fit for a variety of households!

Breed Guess: Akbash/Kangal/Asian Shepherd (DNA Test Pending)
DOB: June 30, 2024

Clovis is a large breed pup with the strong protective instincts typical of his Anatolian herding lineage. He needs an experienced owner who understands big dogs and would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help guide him. With the right training, socialization, and exercise, Clovis will grow into a loyal and majestic companion. Be prepared-he's expected to be quite large!

Adoption Process:
Clovis's adoption will be finalized once he has been spayed or neutered, scheduled between 4-6 months of age. His foster-to-adopt agreement covers vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and spay/neuter. Applicants must follow the "No Paws on the Ground" (NPOG) protocol, meaning Clovis can't go outside until fully vaccinated. You'll need to stick to the vaccine schedule and provide proof to the rescue:

09/21: DAPPV #2 & Bordetella #2
10/19: DAPPV #3 & Rabies (plus a fecal test)

Renters must provide proof of their pet policy showing no size restrictions, as Clovis is expected to grow big! Please note, we adopt out one puppy per home to avoid the risk of littermate syndrome.

More about this rescue

Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
