My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diego is a 3-year-old,14-pound Chihuahua mix who sports an extremely handsome blue Merle coat. Diego was found with a little group of Chihuahuas of varied ages running down a street in Wilson County.
Since he has been in foster care he has improved greatly on all dog and social skills. He greets us with pure joy and excitement. When told, he will immediately run outside for his potty jobs. In his current situation he has been totally housebroken. He loves to run into his open kennel and has dragged quite a collection of toys into his “man cave”. He has of course realized that kennel during the day might signal food. He has a male and female friend he hangs with him. They tend to make sure each is within sight.
He has fully recovered from his Heartworm treatment. He never had a cardiac
murmur or click. His energy level is great, and he is ready for his fur ever home.

Diego is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, evaluated by the vet and will be adopted with 6 months of heartworm prevention.

Diego's adoption fee is $250. If you would like to meet this handsome little boy, please apply here.

ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE.

We transport to most states across the country.

Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to youi  Thank you.
