My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Grace was brought in by her previous owner on August 20, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Grace, the sweet and gentle social butterfly who loves nothing more than being the center of attention! Grace is incredibly affectionate, always asking for snuggles and belly rubs from anyone who will give them. Grace walks beautifully on leash and adores being around people. Perfect for a low-energy household, Grace is all about cozy cuddles and quiet moments. If there's an office chair in the room, you can bet she'll claim it as her throne! She has a special affinity for those comfy seats over any dog bed. If you're looking for a sweet, snuggly companion who's ready to lounge with you, Grace is your girl! Come meet her today, and don't forget to bring a leash and collar-you're going to fall head over paws!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
