Meet Sumi! This gorgeous girl was a friendly stray who wandered into a stranger's house one afternoon and made herself right at home. She was VERY hungry and eager to eat, but even more eager for pets and cuddles from her new human friends. We think Sumi is about 1 year old. She was named Sumi (which means 'charcoal' in Japanese) for both her coloring, and because the family who rescued her noticed her little charcoal footprints in their yard after she went searching for extra steak in their outdoor charcoal grill!

Sumi is elated to be living the spoiled indoor cat life with her foster family. Her foster mom calls her a "Scarf Cat" because she loves curling up on her human's chest and neck. She also follows her from room to room, climbs into her lap or cuddles up next to her at every opportunity, and loves booping her nose and rubbing her cheeks against her foster mom's face. She is the SWEETEST, most affectionate cat! If you are looking for a best friend who will be at your side every waking moment, Sumi is your girl!

Sumi is a very human-oriented kitty and needs a home where she will get lots of attention (cuddles, play time, etc.) from her family. She will need to be the only cat/pet in the family in a calm household without young children. She wants all the time and attention from her favorite humans and does not want to share!
