Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hazel is a one-year-old pup who’s ready to find her home. She’s been living in a temporary foster home and now she’s hoping to find a place where she can continue to grow and thrive. Hazel is a calm and well-behaved house dog who knows basic commands like “sit” and “down,” and she’s working hard on her leash walking skills. While she can get a little playful and energetic during playtime, she’s also a huge cuddle bug and loves to snuggle up close when it’s time to relax. She’s crate trained, and while she’s a bit shy with new people, Hazel is warm and affectionate once she gets to know you. Hazel would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who’s ready to be part of your family, Hazel might just be the perfect fit. If you think Hazel could be the dog you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to reach out! She’s waiting for a fresh start and the chance to share her love with the right family. More about this shelter
In 1987, an initial attempt was made to organize a local humane society in Caroline County. While this attempt did not succeed, those same dedicated volunteers were not deterred.
From our humble beginnings 30 years ago, to where we are today, we are proud to be called “the little shelter that could”.
We provide service to our community through pet adoption, Rabies Clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return, Pet Pantry, Pet Lost & Found, Re-homing, Intake Diversion, Cremation
