My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Bay, a 3 year old, 70 lb, Great Dane/Blue Tick Hound mix! Bay is a special, young, energetic, goofy, but lovingly girl that thinks the world is a scary place. She will need a strong, confident owner to reassure her but not coddle her into thinking her fear is necessary. She is a big girl that thinks she is the size of a chihuahua. We are working on putting more weight on her as shes came to us very thin and expect her to fill out quite nicely in the weeks to come. Bay is an extremely high flight risk when outside so she must be leashed or in a tall fence at all times as currently she gets spooked very easily. She seems to bond quicker with men than woman but she is still such a lover and your couch will quickly become her couch so be sure to have a large one. She loves to cuddle and has the typical Dane lean down perfectly. She also comes in for a head to chest hug sometimes and those are the absolute BEST! We are working on short leash walks and jumping but these things take time and she will need to have someone that will be consistent with her. Bay would love a big fenced in yard so she can get her energy out and all her sniffing in. A bonus would also be another confident, playful pup that could show her that the world is not such a scary place. Bay is crate trained and should be crated while no one is home just in case there are any loud noises. Everything with Bay should be introduced very slowly at this time. Experience with Great Danes, larger breeds, or skiddish pups will all be a plus in this case. Her foster said "If I was ready for a dog right now, I'd absolutely keep her! She is everything that you look for in a companion. She is gentle, loving, and will fill you with the kind of happiness that only a dog brings." We promised Bay the rest of her life will be the best of her life. Could that be with you? ***APPLY TO ADOPT: finalvictoryrescue.com*** We provide meet-and-greets by appointment with an application on file.
