09/27/24 02:59 Doggy Day Out Report Today I: I was happy to go on an adventure. I jumped right into my new friend’s SUV and promptly stuck my head out the window! I was nice and quiet in the car and occasionally gave my friend kisses to show her how grateful I was that she took me out!
We saw people, bikes, and some dogs. I loved being out on the trail! I liked the treats my friends brought with her, but when I am interested in something else, I don’t really pay attention. I am a great leash walker and don’t pull. She knew I had a lot of energy so we actually got to run the majority of the 4 miles.
I sure hope I find my truly forever family because I am the bestest dog!
Three Words to Describe Me are: Sweet, gentle and energetic
Notes from My Walker:Star was a joy to take out of the shelter. She was easy to harness and happy to get outside. She jumped right into my car and promptly sat so I could buckle her up. She gave me periodic kisses and was very gentle and sweet. She was excited but walked pretty calmly on the leash, sniffing and checking things out on the trail. She would see squirrels and be very interested but was easy to redirect. She could get a little distracted and not respond to my voice but that is understandable given she was adventuring out of the shelter. She knew sit and down and seems very smart. She would thrive in group or private dog training. She didn’t bark at all, which is unusual for her breed. She had a lot of energy at the beginning of our walk/run but settled down quickly and when it was time to get back in the car, she jumped right in and laid down. Regular exercise will make this girl very happy! Star is a STAR and whoever adds her to their family will be very lucky!

Introducing Star, a German Shepherd with an undeniable passion for playing fetch! She excels as your trusty fetch companion, always eager to retrieve the ball and promptly drop it at your feet. Star would be a fantastic agility buddy as her agility knows no bounds; she can even effortlessly jump fences - so she’ll do best in an area with a high fence. Star is a social shepherd and regularly participates in playgroups. Star would love an active household with a consistent exercise routine.
