My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In case you couldn't tell from her photo - little Amy is absolutely adorable! Such a sad little face but such a happy little heart! She's very sweet. She loves people. She coexists with the other dogs in her foster home well. She loves her food so much that now she gets it in a special slow bowl. She's mostly quiet, but a little bit vocal because she's not fond of being in her playpen at night. She'd much rather be out with the other dogs and her foster Mama so if you want a doggie to sleep on your bed, she would volunteer! She showed interest in a crinkle toy today. She seems potty trained though we have not had her very long. She has been getting baths and her fur is so pretty now. Amy can't wait to have her own home and be spoiled rotten! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
